Homogeneity of Large-scale PLZT Ceramics
Optical transmittance, grain size and ferroelectric properties are measured along the radial direction of large-scale (40-50 mmφ) PLZT-7.6/70/30 ceramics in order to evaluate the homogeneity in a plate. Ferro-antiferroelectric transition temperatures (Th) are measured by the pyroelectric method.

Characterization and Microstructure of PLZT RAINBOW Ceramics
AbstractA new type of large displacement actuating materials called RAINBOW (Reduced and Internally Biased Oxide Wafer) ceramics is fabricated by a chemical reduction of PLZT piezoelectric ceramics. It is found that PLZT is easily reduced and the thickness of reduced layer has a linear relationship with the reduction time.

Experimental Study on the Performance of Light-Controlled Ion Drag Pump Based on PLZT Ceramic
Light-controlled ion drag pumps have attracted considerable interest in soft robotics, biomedical engineering, and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) due to their non-contact energy supply and high spatiotemporal controllability of light.

Optical bistability in PLZT ceramics
Ferroelectrics, 1997Abstract Optical bistability in PLZT ceramics due to the Ar+ laser induced heating and changes of the optical thickness of a plane parallel PLZT plate (behaving as the Fabry-Perot cavity) is observed. Such PLZT ceramics plate is used also as an extracavity laser mirror. Thermooptical tuning of the mirror causes a non-liner behaviour of such system.
