Mapping breast cancer between clinical x-ray and MR images

open access: yes, 2010
Characterising a breast lesion can involve comparing x-ray and magnetic resonance (MR) images of a patient’s breast. Tracking a lesion between these imaging modalities is non-trivial because of the different types of deformation the breast undergoes ...

Effect of MPATH‐Dx 2.0 on Diagnostic Agreement in the Histopathologic Assessment of Melanocytic Skin Lesions

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, Volume 5, Issue 3, Page 854-862, September 2026.
To estimate between pathologist agreement using MPATH‐Dx V1.0 and MPATH‐Dx V2.0 a cross‐sectional reading study on four dermatopathologists assessing paired clinical and histopathology images of melanocytic lesions in blinded and unblinded settings was performed.

Mechanically Interlocked Molecules: A Supramolecular Computational Picture of Rotaxane‐Based Switches, Shuttles, and Tristable Devices in Solution

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 9, September 2026.
This contribution highlights recent studies focused on mechanically interlocked molecules. By combining density functional theory‐converged wavefunctions with highly effective real‐space algorithms for visualizing and quantifying covalent bonds and noncovalent interactions, a first‐principles description of the driving forces governing molecular motion,

x‐Ray Structure of Streptomyces avermitilis Phospholipase D Reveals a Ca2+‐Stabilized Expanded Active‐Site Cleft Adapted for Phospholipid Binding

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 94, Issue 9, Page 1543-1550, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Phospholipase D (PLD) catalyzes the hydrolysis of phospholipids to generate phosphatidic acid and free head groups such as choline. Among bacterial PLD enzymes, Streptomyces chromofuscus PLD (SchPLD), a member of the alkaline phosphatase D (PhoD) superfamily, exhibits unique Ca2+‐dependent phospholipase activity.

Drought stress modulates indirect defense via bottom‐up effects in tomato and wheat

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 9, Page 8499-8511, September 2026.
Different water regimes can have a significant impact on plant morphology and defense pathways in tomato and wheat, triggering multiple olfactory choices in biocontrol agents of key insect pests. These findings could be used to implement biocontrol strategies within the IPM context under a changing climate scenario.
