Recent technical trends in PMSM
2014 International Power Electronics Conference (IPEC-Hiroshima 2014 - ECCE ASIA), 2014This paper overviews the recent technical trends in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), especially the rare-earth less PMSMs in Japan. The rareearth less PMSMs including the PMSMs with reduced rareearth PMs, permanent magnet assisted synchronous motors with ferrite magnets and axial gap PMSMs with ferrite magnets are reviewed.
