Percutaneous mitral balloon valvotomy (PMV) was performed in 10 female patients with mitral stenosis; their mean age was 31 +/- 1 years. All patients underwent echophonocardiography (Echophono) before and less than 24 hours after PMV1. Cardiac catheterization and Echophono were repeated 10 and 22 months after PMV1.

Interacting Partners of M-PMV Nucleocapsid-DUTPase
Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids, 2006The nucleocapsid-dUTPase protein of Mason-Pfizer monkey virus is a truly bifunctional fusion enzyme. The exact role of this fusion protein in the viral life cycle is unclear. To explore its function, we started to identify interacting protein partners of the enzyme in vitro.

Representatives of paramyxoviruses isolated from waterfowl in the U.S.A., goose/Delaware/1053/76, and Japan, pintail/Wakuya/20/78, were shown to be serologically closely related but distinct from other avian paramyxoviruses. Another isolate, from domestic ducks in the U.S.A., was shown to be representative of a further distinct serotype of avian ...

PMV–PPD and acceptability in naturally ventilated schools
Building and Environment, 2013The assessment of moderate thermal environments provided with HVAC system is usually carried out by means of the PMV and the PPD indices. The reliability of the PMV to predict the thermal sensation in non-air conditioned environments has been criticized in the past.

Polymicroviscometry (PMV) and erythrocyte aggregation
Clinical Hemorheology and Microcirculation, 1989The process of red blood cell (RBC) aggregation is always associated with its counterpart: phase separation. The possibility of predicting the occurrence of a specific hemodynamic effect produced by these two processes in the living vasculature is frequently limited by insufficient information on the ...

Water-responsive shape memory PLLA via incorporating PCL-(PMVS-s-PAA)-PCL-PTMG-PCL-(PMVS-s-PAA)-PCL
European Polymer Journal, 2021Abstract Poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) was one of the most well-known biodegradable polyesters. Although its thermo-responsive shape memory (SM) function has been studied by proper program, high transformation temperature is not suitable in some biomedical applications.

Preparation and Properties of LLDPE/PMVS Blends
Polymers and Polymer Composites, 2006Reactive blending has been carried out by the melt mixing of linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and silicone rubber containing vinyl group (PMVS) to obtain grafted and crosslinked blends. Two methods involving the use of free radicals generated from (a) thermomechanical shear and (b) peroxide decomposition were used to prepare the LLDPE/PMVS ...

Simulation of PMV and PPD Thermal Comfort Using EnergyPlus
2019This work aims to simulate the thermal comfort for the user of a movie theater in the dimension related to considering the thermal environment parameters by the using EnergyPlus software. The results from simulation are then compared with the experimental ones.
