Association of lymphopenia with porcine circovirus type 2 induced postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) [PDF]
The composition of peripheral blood leukocyte populations was studied following experimental PCV2-infection in 3-week-old piglets. Four of 10 PCV2-infected piglets developed clinical and pathological symptoms consistent with postweaning multisystemic ...

PMWS: an emerging disease identified in archived porcine tissues
The Veterinary Journal, 2005Postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) is a disease caused by porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV-2). The disease was present as early as 1986 in Spain, 1989 in Japan and 1993 in Thailand. In view of this, we considered it possible that the disease may also have been present in Switzerland prior to its first description in 2001.

Changes in age at diagnosis of PMWS in pigs in Spain, 1998 to 2008
Veterinary Record, 2010POSTWEANING multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS), a multifactorial disease associated with porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV-2), was first diagnosed in Spain in 1997 ([Segales and others 1997][1]).

Dielectric, piezoelectric and strain properties of PMW-PNN-PZT
ISAF 2000. Proceedings of the 2000 12th IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics (IEEE Cat. No.00CH37076), 2002In this paper, the structural, dielectric, piezoelectric and strain properties of Pb[(Mg/sub 1/2/W/sub 1/2/)/sub x/-(Ni/sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)/sub 0.15-x/-(Zr/sub 0/ /sub .5/Ti/sub 0.5/)/sub 0.85/]O/sub 3/ (X-0-0/spl sim/0.10) ceramics were investigated with the substitution of Pb(Mg/sub 1/2/W/sub 1/2/)O/sub 3/.

Porcine circovirus diseases: a review of PMWS.
Transboundary and emerging diseases, 2015This article is a review on post-weaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS), the first described disease among the porcine circovirus diseases (PCVD). Post-weaning multisystemic wasting syndrome has, since its appearance in Canada in 1991, been seen in all major pig producing countries.
