Abstract Despite advancements in epilepsy care, a substantial diagnostic gap persists, particularly in resource‐limited settings. This narrative review explores the potential of video‐based diagnostics augmented by artificial intelligence (AI) to address this gap by enabling earlier and more accessible seizure detection and classification.

Abstract Objective Psychological stress is commonly reported as a seizure precipitant in epilepsy, yet evidence from major crises remains limited and inconsistent. We examined whether the October 2023 Israel–Hamas conflict affected acute seizure‐related healthcare utilization among adults with epilepsy. Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort study

Ambient technology in epilepsy clinical practice
Abstract The utilization of large language model‐based artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of neurology has gained attention as a viable tool to enhance and assist providers with processes ranging from scheduling patients to providing preliminary interpretations of testing results, pending orders, and documenting encounters. Epileptologists could

Molecular Envelopes of Young and Proto PNE [PDF]
I review recent results of mm-wave interferometric observations of molecular envelopes of young and proto planetary nebulae. Spatial resolutions of mm-wave interferometers now reach from one to a few arcseconds; together with line observations reveale very small structures in molecular envelopes of planetary nebulae.

Expansion velocities of selected PNe [PDF]
AbstractIn order to clarify the observed relation between the expansion velocity measured from lines of different ions and their ionization potential, we present kinematical data for several objects. We have measured radial velocities on ESO UVES high dispersion spectra to compare expansion velocities for a set of planetary nebulae.

Detection of focal impaired awareness seizures using a biometric shirt
Abstract Objective In recent years, seizure detection using wearable technology has gained significant attention in research. Most studies, however, have focused on detecting generalized or focal to bilateral tonic–clonic seizures. This study evaluates the feasibility of using a biometric shirt to detect focal impaired awareness seizures (FIAS) by ...
