Vaccine efficacy of the attenuated Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae YS-19 expressing a recombinant protein of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae P97 adhesin against mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine

Vaccine, 2003
The attenuated Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae YS-19 strain was constructed for the purpose of delivering the C-terminal portion of the Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae P97 adhesin to the mucosal surface of the respiratory tract of pigs. In this study, the efficacy of the YS-19 vaccine against mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine was evaluated.

Effects of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine (MPS) lung lesion‐selected Landrace pigs on MPS resistance and immune competence in three‐way crossbred pigs

Animal Science Journal, 2016
AbstractTo clarify the genetic influence of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine (MPS) lesion‐selected Landrace (La) on MPS resistance and immune characteristics in three‐way crossbred pigs (LaWaDa), the LaWaDa pigs were compared with the non‐selected crossbred (LbWbDb) and purebred (La) pigs.

Genetic selection for resistance to mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine (MPS) in theLandrace line influences the expression of soluble factors in blood afterMPSvaccine sensitization

Animal Science Journal, 2013
AbstractWe recently developed aLandrace line that is resistant to mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine (MPS) infection by genetic selection for five generations, and we reported that the immunophenotype of this line is different from that of the non‐selected line in terms of changes in peripheral blood leukocyte population afterMPSvaccination.

Evaluation of criteria for the postmortem diagnosis of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine.

Canadian journal of comparative medicine : Revue canadienne de medecine comparee, 1984
Ten swine from each of five herds believed to be affected with mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine and ten swine from each of five herds believed to be mycoplasmal pneumonia-free were selected for postmortem study. Lungs from the 100 swine were examined; grossly and microscopically for lesions typical of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine and culturally and by ...

Tiamulin feed medication for the maintenance of weight gains in the presence of mycoplasmal pneumonia in swine.

Journal of animal science, 1984
Tiamulin, a semisynthetic antibiotic, was fed to growing pigs and its value in maintaining weight gain and feed efficiency in the face of mycoplasmal pneumonia was determined. Four treatments divided among 64 growing pigs from a conventional pig farm were used to test the effects of tiamulin administered in feed at levels of 10, 20 and 30 ppm. All pigs

Cross-reactions between Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and Mycoplasma flocculare--practical implications for the serodiagnosis of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine.

Israel journal of medical sciences, 1987
Previous studies using hyperimmune antisera revealed significant serologic cross-reactions between Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and M. flocculare. These findings, coupled with observations that M. flocculare infection may be widespread, indicated that antibodies to M.

Effectiveness of coupled administration of Bioimmuno immunomodulator and Respisure One vaccine in the prophylaxis of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine.

Polish journal of veterinary sciences, 2010
The study was aimed at determining the protective value of the coupled application of immunomodulation and vaccination in the prophylaxis of mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine (MPS). It was conducted on a pig farm, on 28 piglets with body weights of 7-8 kg in the peri-weaning period, divided into four groups of 7 animals each.

Indices of non-specific and specific humoral immunity in pigs immunomodulated with the Bioimmuno preparation and/or immunised with the Respisure One vaccine against mycoplasmal pneumonia of swine.

Polish journal of veterinary sciences, 2010
The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of the Bioimmuno preparation administered in feed and/or immunisation with the Respisure One vaccine on the development of selected indices of non-specific and specific humoral immune response against Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (Mhp) infections in pigs.
