Programmable Photothermal Hydrogel Actuators Enabled by Adhesion
We report a one‐step strategy for constructing photothermal hydrogel actuators by directly bonding conductive polymer films to thermoresponsive hydrogels through electrophoretic adhesion. This approach enables robust interfacial bonding, simplified fabrication, and precise control of bending direction and deformation modes under laser irradiation ...

Self-consistent field theory for obligatory coassembly [PDF]
We present a first-order model for obligatory coassembly of block copolymers via an associative driving force in a nonselective solvent, making use of the classical self-consistent field (SCF) theory.

Stimuli‐Responsive Chemical Systems That Mimic Biological Dynamics
Chemists are designing synthetic systems that mimic life's dynamic behaviors, such as motion, sensing, adaptation, and compartmentalization, by integrating reaction networks with stimuli like light, pH, and chemical fuels. This mini‐review surveys molecular machines, responsive materials, nucleic acid networks, and artificial cells, highlighting how ...

Tunable Synthetic Hydrogel Modulates Hepatic Lineage Specification of Human Liver Organoid
In this study, a synthetic hydrogel is reported that supports the formation of hiPSC‐derived human liver organoids (HLOs). Hepatic lineage specification can be modulated via conjugation of RGD peptide to hydrogel: RGD‐conjugated hydrogels promote cholangiocyte differentiation, whereas RGD‐free hydrogels favor hepatocyte commitment of HLO cells.

Temperature-responsive mixed-mode column for the modulation of multiple interactions
In this study, mixed-mode chromatography columns have been investigated using multiple analyte interactions. A mixed-mode chromatography column was developed using poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) brush-modified silica beads and poly(3 ...
