Asian elephants play crucial roles in ecosystem functioning, and their interactions with plants influence above‐ and belowground carbon cycling. We tested whether their mechanically destructive foraging triggers short‐term, stress‐induced shifts in tree root exudation, an underappreciated pathway linking herbivory to belowground carbon processes.

Utility‐scale solar energy (USSE) development generates novel questions regarding coupling clean energy production with terrestrial ecosystem services (e.g., forage production, pollinator support). We found that a USSE array sited in a fallowed cropland maintained a reseeded native plant community even a decade post‐restoration and that the array ...

Transistor‐Based Bio‐Hybrid Artificial Afferent Nerves for a Mainly Bio‐Composite Reflex Arc System
ABSTRACT The development of sustainable high‐performance bio‐hybrid neuromorphic electronics is essential for the next generation of intelligent human–machine interfaces. However, achieving systemic biocompatibility while maintaining low power consumption and long‐term stability remains a formidable challenge.

The Thymic Microenvironment Shapes Age‐Related Qualitative Changes in the TCR Repertoire
Ageing profoundly alters the thymic microenvironment, but its impact on T‐cell receptor (TCR) repertoire selection remains unclear. By sequencing TCRαβ repertoires from young and aged thymus, hydrocortisone‐depleted thymus and RAG1‐deficient thymus transplantation models, we show that the aged thymic microenvironment drives qualitative changes in TCR ...

ABSTRACT Aim Decentralised implementation of therapeutic hypothermia (TH) for neonatal hypoxic‐ischaemic encephalopathy (HIE) in Germany historically caused heterogeneous clinical practices. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of the German Hypothermia Registry on clinical standardisation and confidence in neonatal HIE care since its ...

Species‐level variation in temperate tree foliar greenhouse gas exchange, showing consistent foliar CH4 uptake, N2O emission, stronger CH4 uptake in fall leaves, and contrasting methanotroph communities between the high‐CH4‐oxidizing species Tilia americana and the low‐CH4‐oxidizing species Prunus virginiana. Summary The contribution of tree foliage to
