The mitogenome of the brown pod-sucking bug Clavigralla tomentosicollis Stäl (Hemiptera: Coreidae)

open access: yesAgri Gene, 2017
Abstract The brown pod-sucking bug, Clavigralla tomentosicollis Stal (Hemiptera: Coreidae), causes significant damage to cultivated cowpea, Vigna unguiculata Walp, a staple crop in sub-Saharan Africa. C. tomentosicollis pierce and suck sap from cowpea pods, resulting in reduced grain yield and quality.

EXPRESSION OF RESISTANCE OF SOYBEAN TO THE POD SUCKING BUG RIPTORTUS LINEARIS F. (HEMIPTERA: COREIDAE)

open access: yesAGRIVITA Journal of Agricultural Science, 2012
Factors involved in the mechanism of soybean resistance to pod sucking bug R. linearis were identified using resistant soybean genotypes, IAC-100, and IAC-80-596-2 and the susceptible variety, Wilis as a check. The role of trichomes in resistance was assayed removing trichomes from the pod shell, and seed coat and the resistance was determined based on

MANAGEMENT OPTIONS AGAINST POD BORER (MARUCA TESTULALIS GEYER) AND POD SUCKING BUGS (RIPTORTUS DENTIPES) OF COWPEA (VIGNA UNGUICULATA (L.) WALP.)

open access: yesTropical Agrobiodiversity, 2020
The efficacy of different management practices comprising cowpea/sorghum intercropping, microbial insecticide: Spinosad, neem-based botanical pesticide: neemix and synthetic insecticide: Chlorpyriphos 50 + Cypermethrin 5 were evaluated against pod borer and pod sucking bugs of cowpea. The experiment was laid out in completely randomized block design at

The Resistance of Soybean Genotypes to The Pod Feeding Insects [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Tropika: Jurnal Agrosains, 2019
One of the constraints impeding soybean production in the tropics is yield losses due to the damage by pod feeding insects. The research objective was to identify the resistance of soybean genotypes to the pod feeders.
