The Global Dynamics of the Painlevé–Gambier Equations XVIII, XXI, and XXII

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we describe the global dynamics of the Painlevé–Gambier equations numbered XVIII: x″−(x′)2/(2x)−4x2=0, XXI: x″−3(x′)2/(4x)−3x2, and XXII: x″−3(x′)2/(4x)+1=0.

Radial coordinates for defect CFTs

open access: yes, 2018
We study the two-point function of local operators in the presence of a defect in a generic conformal field theory. We define two pairs of cross ratios, which are convenient in the analysis of the OPE in the bulk and defect channel respectively.

Higher body‐mass index modifies time‐resolved maternal autonomic cardiac–uterine coupling during the first stage of human labour

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract We investigated whether higher body mass index (BMI) modifies time‐resolved maternal autonomic control and maternal cardio‐electrohysterographic coupling (MCEC) during the first stage of labour. Seventy‐nine women were studied and, for the present analysis, grouped as Control (C; n = 41) and high BMI (HBMI; n = 38).

Phase transitions from heating to non-heating in $SU(1,1)$ quantum dynamics: Applications to Bose-Einstein condensates and periodically driven coupled oscillators

open access: yesSciPost Physics Core
We study the entanglement properties in non-equilibrium quantum systems with the $SU(1,1)$ structure. Through Möbius transformation, we map the dynamics of these systems following a sudden quench or a periodic drive onto three distinct trajectories on ...

Modelling the time‐resolved modulations of cardiac activity in rats: A study on pharmacological autonomic stimulation

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Time‐resolved estimation of cardiac rhythmicity parameters. A pipeline is shown for the estimation of the fluctuating cardiac parameters, based on the Poincaré plot. The Poincaré plot illustrates the successive changes in interbeat intervals (IBI).

Global phase portraits of quadratic systems with an ellipse and a straight line as invariant algebraic curves

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
In this article we study a class of integrable quadratic systems and classify all its phase portraits. More precisely, we characterize the class of all quadratic polynomial differential systems in the plane having an ellipse and a straight line as ...

Dynamics of the Isotropic Star Differential System from the Mathematical and Physical Point of Views

open access: yesAppliedMath
The following differential quadratic polynomial differential system  dxdt=y−x, dydt=2y−yγ−12−γy−5γ−4γ−1x, when the parameter γ∈(1,2] models the structure equations of an isotropic star having a linear barotropic equation of state, being x=m(r)/r where m ...

Infinity‐operadic foundations for embedding calculus

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Motivated by applications to spaces of embeddings and automorphisms of manifolds, we consider a tower of ∞$\infty$‐categories of truncated right modules over a unital ∞$\infty$‐operad O$\mathcal {O}$. We study monoidality and naturality properties of this tower, identify its layers, describe the difference between the towers as O$\mathcal {O}$

Degree theory for 4‐dimensional asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 5, Page 1151-1298, May 2026.
Abstract We develop a new degree theory for 4‐dimensional, asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons. Our theory implies the existence of gradient expanding solitons that are asymptotic to any given cone over S3$S^3$ with non‐negative scalar curvature. We also obtain a similar existence result for cones whose link is diffeomorphic to S3/Γ$S^3/\

In‐and‐Out: Algorithmic Diffusion for Sampling Convex Bodies

open access: yesRandom Structures &Algorithms, Volume 68, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT We present a new random walk for uniformly sampling high‐dimensional convex bodies. It achieves state‐of‐the‐art runtime complexity with stronger guarantees on the output than previously known, namely in Rényi divergence (which implies TV, 𝒲2, KL, χ2$$ {\chi}^2 $$).
