Calculation of Lyapunov exponential spectrum of chaotic phenomena in a slender rigid block system
In this paper, based on the characteristics of a slender rigid block system, a method is introduced for computing the spectrum of Lyapunov exponent by combining the local map and the Poincare map.

ABSTRACT Sleep‐related breathing disorders (SRBD) represent a significant paediatric health concern. Traditional polysomnographic indices, such as the apnoea–hypopnoea index, may not fully capture the physiological burden of paediatric SRBD, highlighting the need to better characterise the impact of nocturnal hypoxemia on cardiac autonomic regulation ...

A Restricted Poincaré Map for Determining Exponentially Stable Periodic Orbits in Systems with Impulse Effects: Application to Bipedal Robots [PDF]
— Systems with impulse effects form a special class of hybrid systems that consist of an ordinary, time-invariant differential equation (ODE), a co-dimension one switching surface, and a re-initialization rule.

Oscillations may cause both economic and technical problems such as a reduction in overall system reliability. Therefore, detecting and preventing oscillatory behavior that affects power systems is important.

Codimension-one tangency bifurcations of global Poincaré maps of four-dimensional vector fields [PDF]
When one considers a Poincaré return map on a general unbounded (n-1)-dimensional section in a vector field in R^n there are typically points where the flow is tangent to the section.

This paper investigates two fundamental structures for biped robots and a control strategy to achieve stable biped running. The first biped structure contains straight legs with telescopic springs, and the second one contains knees with compliant ...

Oral Manifestations of Non Vascular Ehlers‐Danlos Syndrome Cross‐Sectional Study
ABSTRACT Background Ehlers–Danlos syndromes are rare hereditary connective tissue disorders; however, their oral manifestations remain poorly characterized in molecularly confirmed individuals. The aim of this study was to describe the oral phenotype of patients with non‐vascular Ehlers‐Danlos syndromes compared to healthy controls.

The Additive Logic of Epistemic Reasons: An Axiomatic Account
ABSTRACT The article argues for a system of axioms that is meant to capture the logic of normative reasons for belief. The system concerns a primitive direct‐reason relation, a defined doxastic‐reason relation, and a primitive function for the revision of rational belief by reasons.
