On L-shaped point set embeddings of trees: first non-embeddable examples [PDF]
An L-shaped embedding of a tree in a point set is a planar drawing of the tree where the vertices are mapped to distinct points and every edge is drawn as a sequence of two axis-aligned line segments. There has been considerable work on establishing upper bounds on the minimum cardinality of a point set to guarantee that any tree of the same size with ...

A novel watermarking algorithm for three-dimensional point-cloud models based on vertex curvature
A new blind watermarking scheme for three-dimensional point-cloud models is proposed based on vertex curvature to achieve an appropriate trade-off between transparency and robustness.

A BiLSTM-attention-based point-of-interest recommendation algorithm
Aiming at the problem that users’ check-in interest preferences in social networks have complex time dependences, which leads to inaccurate point-of-interest (POI) recommendations, a location-based POI recommendation model using deep learning for social ...

Pig Back Transformer: Automatic 3D Pig Body Measurement Model
ObjectiveNowadays most no contact body size measurement studies are based on point cloud segmentation method, they use a trained point cloud segmentation neural network to segment point cloud of pigs, then locate measurement points based on them.

An Efficient Subgraph Isomorphism Solver for Large Graphs
For a given pair of pattern and data graphs, the subgraph isomorphism finding problem locates all instances of the pattern graph into the data graph. For a given subgraph isomorphic image of the pattern graph in a data graph, the set of all ordered pairs

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Set-Word Embeddings and Semantic Indices: A New Contextual Model for Empirical Language Analysis
We present a new word embedding technique in a (non-linear) metric space based on the shared membership of terms in a corpus of textual documents, where the metric is naturally defined by the Boolean algebra of all subsets of the corpus and a measure μ ...
