Engineering IL‐4 resistant proinflammatory human myeloid cells for cancer immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a scalable workflow to generate proinflammatory human myeloid cells. CRISPR/Cas9‐edited CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells were expanded and differentiated with M‐CSF. Deletion of STAT6 or STAT6/NFKB1 enhanced macrophage proinflammatory gene expression and cytokine secretion in the presence of IL‐4 while maintaining antibody ...

Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

Measurement and restoration of the point spread function of fluorescence confocal microscopy

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, 2006
The point spread function of an objective lens of a fluorescence confocal microscope was directly measured by imaging fluorescent beads. We analysed how the measurement of the point spread function was influenced by the diameter of the fluorescent beads ...

Measurement of the point spread function in MRI using constant time imaging

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, 1997
The point spread function is a fundamental property of magnetic resonance imaging methods that affects image quality and spatial resolution. The point spread function is difficult to measure precisely in magnetic resonance even with the use of carefully ...

The point spread function of spiral CT

Physics in Medicine and Biology, 2005
Computed tomography (CT) scanners are usually described by their in-plane resolution and slice-sensitivity profile (SSP). Other imaging systems are characterized by their point spread function (PSF). The PSF is an excellent basis for the analysis, design and enhancement of imaging systems.

Measurement of the point spread function in the ocean

Applied Optics, 1990
A new instrument to measure the point spread function (PSF) in the ocean is described. This instrument uses a CCD solid state camera to measure the angular radiance field due to a pulsed Lambertian source. In this way the PSF can be measured easily at sea, when precise alignments over ranges >10 m cannot be maintained.

Derivation of the point spread function

Applied Optics, 1983
The derivation of the point spread function in general uses the mathematical theory of diffraction in detail. This derivation uses geometric relations of the incoming and diffracted wave front to establish the diffraction integral, which is equal to the Hankel integral for the Bessel function of the first kind of order one.

Point spread functions and detail detection

Spatial Vision, 1987
Point spread functions, intended to characterize local spatial transfer of the visual system, can be obtained psychophysically using a perturbation technique. Data of such point spread functions are shown for three experimental conditions: foveally at adaptation levels of 1200 and 10 Td, and in the parafovea at an eccentricity of 2 deg using a 1200 Td ...

Point Spread Matrices: A Polarization Generalization of the Point Spread Function

International Optical Design Conference, 1994
This paper describes the point spread matrix, a matrix transfer function for relating an object polarization state to the polarization and intensity distribution across its image. Measurements of a point spread matrix of a 4-F optical system with large polarization aberration are presented.

Out-of-focus point spread functions

SPIE Proceedings, 2014
There are many ways in which the performance of a lens can be characterized, most of which measure properties of the in-focus image. The current work instead centers on measuring properties of an out-of-focus (OOF) image. The image created by imaging a point of light is commonly known as the point spread function (PSF).
