Biological evaluation of absorbent paper points
International Endodontic Journal, 1985Summary. The biocompatibility of absorbent paper points was evaluated by a haemolysis test and a tissue culture agarose overlay test. One type of paper points produced marked haemolytic activity and a cytotoxic response in the overlay test. The other types tested showed minimal haemolytic activity and no cytotoxicity.

Shore Protection by Point-Absorbers
Civil Engineering in the Oceans VI, 2005The capture of wave energy by point-absorber floats has been a popular topic in the wave-energy conversion field for more than two decades. Analysts have undertaken many studies devoted to the optimization of the absorbers and the prediction of their capture widths — the crest width from which the wave energy is supplied.
