The Additive Logic of Epistemic Reasons: An Axiomatic Account

open access: yesTheoria, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The article argues for a system of axioms that is meant to capture the logic of normative reasons for belief. The system concerns a primitive direct‐reason relation, a defined doxastic‐reason relation, and a primitive function for the revision of rational belief by reasons.

Evaluating Large‐Language Models in Bioinformatics Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Computing, Volume 1, Issue 1, December 2026.
This work systematically evaluates advanced large language models across six representative bioinformatics tasks, from drug–drug interaction prediction and molecular optimization to single‐cell annotation and computational biology problem solving. The benchmark quantifies both their promise and limitations, offering practical guidance for prompt design,

The Evolution of Breast Cancer Detection: A Review of Imaging, Machine Learning, and Multimodal Strategies

open access: yesComputational and Systems Oncology, Volume 6, Issue 1, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Breast cancer is still a serious problem in the world arena, where its early and prompt detection is the most important factor in improving patient prognosis and survival. The use of traditional diagnostic techniques, such as imaging (e.g., mammography and ultrasound) and subsequent histopathological examination, is the mainstay, which ...

Bayesian optimized color filter: A fast method for segmentation of plant phenotypes from 3D point cloud images

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 9, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract Multispectral three‐dimensional (3D) imaging offers substantial potential for plant phenotyping, yet manual segmentation of plant organs remains a bottleneck in breeding programs. We developed a color‐based filtering workflow for faba bean (Vicia faba L.) point clouds that optimizes lower and upper thresholds of spectral indices and broadband ...
