Point collocation with mollified piecewise polynomial approximants for high-order partial differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes
The solution approximation for partial differential equations (PDEs) can be substantially improved using smooth basis functions. The recently introduced mollified basis functions are constructed through mollification, or convolution, of cell-wise defined

Structural Shape Optimization Based on Multi-Patch Weakly Singular IGABEM and Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm in Two-Dimensional Elastostatics

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, a multi-patch weakly singular isogeometric boundary element method (WSIGABEM) for two-dimensional elastostatics is proposed. Since the method is based on the weakly singular boundary integral equation, quadrature techniques, dedicated to ...

Eco‐Renewal Urgency: Enabling Eco‐Innovation and Driving Sustainable Transformation Within Organizations

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Building on dynamic capabilities theory, this paper develops a conceptual model explaining how organizations pursue eco‐innovation. Drawing on in‐depth interviews with sustainability and innovation managers across diverse industries, the study provides rich empirical insights into the drivers of eco‐innovation.

A collocation point sampling method for solving the Helmholtz equation using physics-informed neural networks

open access: yesMeitian dizhi yu kantan
BackgroundIn the field of seismic wavefield simulation, physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) have emerged as a new method for efficiently solving the Helmholtz equation due to their characteristic of grid-free computation.

When Collaboration Bridges or Breaks: A Systematic Review of Emerging Trends in Supply Chain Resilience and Sustainability

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Widespread digital adoption has challenged our understanding of how these tools reshape collaboration, trust and sustainability outcomes across different institutional and network contexts. As networks now pursue resilience and sustainable development in parallel, we map emerging research directions and identify how collaboration and ...

Advancing Theory and Practice Concerning CO2e Emissions: A Time‐Based Tool for Organisations

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although organisations are increasingly scrutinised on their CO2e emissions, economic growth is frequently encouraged. Eco‐efficiency–based initiatives—‘doing more with less’—could be a solution. The problem is that many organisations (e.g., smaller enterprises without access to specialist knowledge) have difficulties in gauging the impact of ...

Boundary layer challenges: A comparative analysis of two efficient meshless approaches

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
This article presents two meshless computational techniques: the radial basis function (RBF) method and the polynomial method, for numerically analyzing boundary layer problems, with a specific focus on singularly perturbed two-point boundary value ...

Food System Through the Lens of a Circular Society: A Transdisciplinary Approach to Integrating Literature and Practice

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular society (CS) conceptualises circularity as a multi‐level governance transformation involving the redistribution of authority, responsibility and coordination across socio‐institutional systems. Yet the concept remains insufficiently operationalised in empirical research.

Measuring Collocation Tendency of Words

open access: yes, 2011
In all natural languages, some words collocate with other words to create multi-worded blocks of meaning - the collocations. Since identification of collocations is vital for information retrieval, language learning, psycholinguistics, authorship ...

Next Generation Hosts for Protein Recognition, Assembly and More

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The original design of synthetic receptors for proteins was based on macrocycles with a hydrophobic core and a polar/charged periphery. This design, geared towards protein recognition, facilitates receptor self‐assembly. Macrocycle oligomerization, in turn, contributes to protein assembly as evidenced in many cocrystal structures.
