Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, 1988The relationship between the size of a familiar object and the distances at which it is imaged is examined in three experiments. The distance at which an imaged object overflows the visual field is linearly related to object size, a result consistent with the size-distance invariance hypothesis (Kosslyn, 1980).

Gyroless line-of-sight stabilization for pointing and tracking systems
Optical Engineering, 1994A new platform stabilization approach is described where miniature, low-cost, linear accelerometers are used (instead of gyroscopes) for line-of-sight (LOS) stabilization. This is accomplished by placing the accelerometers at strategic locations and combining their outputs so that angular motion is determined from linear acceleration measurements.
