Experimental Study on Liquid Flow and Heat Transfer in Rough Microchannels
Although roughness is negligible for laminar flow through tubes in classic fluid mechanics, the surface roughness may play an important role in microscale fluid flow due to the large ratio of surface area to volume.

ABSTRACT Background Upper‐airway morphology changes during breathing can be captured with cine 4D MRI. Active‐learning nnU‐Net reduces manual labeling while maintaining accuracy. Purpose For automatic upper airway segmentation on free‐breathing cine 4D MRI using active learning and quantifying dynamic changes under two mouth positions.

We study the homogeneous and the spatially periodic instabilities in a nematic liquid crystal layer subjected to steady plane {\em Couette} or {\em Poiseuille} flow. The initial director orientation is perpendicular to the flow plane.

Permeative flows in cholesterics: Shear and Poiseuille flows
By using a lattice Boltzmann scheme that solves the Beris-Edwards equations of motion describing liquid-crystal hydrodynamics, we study the response of cholesterics to shear and Poiseuille flows. The geometry we focus on is a flow along the direction of the helical axis, which is known to give rise to permeation.

A Biophysical Approach to the Design of Networks of Communication Systems
ABSTRACT Inspired by the growth dynamics of the protist Physarum polycephalum, we employ a formalism that describes adaptive, incompressible Hagen‐Poiseuille flows on channel networks to identify graphs connecting different nodes within Euclidean space. These graphs are either suboptimal or optimal relative to their length.

In practice, while placing concrete in a formwork by pumping, the pressure generated by the pump is not controlled. In order to enhance the safety on the worksite, and in view of the current economic and ecologic arguments, it would be useful to dispose ...

ABSTRACT Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive decline and pathological protein aggregation. Comprehensive quantitative proteomics of brain tissues from AD patients is critical for pursuing a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms that drive AD progression.
