Progress and Application of Multifunctional Hydrogel in Radioactive Skin Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review examines healing challenges in radiation‐wound injuries, where ionizing radiation impairs immune and tissue repair processes. Hydrogels, with their biocompatibility, antimicrobial properties, and drug delivery capabilities, present a transformative solution. It compares hydrogel efficacy in radiation‐induced versus common wounds, highlights

Edge‐hosted Atomic Co−N4 Sites on Hierarchical Porous Carbon for Highly Selective Two‐electron Oxygen Reduction Reaction

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 134, Issue 51, December 19, 2022., 2022
The edge‐hosted Co−N4 sites in the carbon matrix are more efficient and selective than basal plane‐hosted ones in catalyzing 2 e−‐ORR, achieving a remarkable selectivity of ≈95 % in the electrochemical production of H2O2. Abstract Not only high efficiency but also high selectivity of the electrocatalysts is crucial for high‐performance, low‐cost, and ...

Additive Manufacturing of Stretchable Zipping Electrostatic Actuators through Spray Encapsulation of a Frozen Liquid

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents a method to print multi‐layer elastomer structures containing liquid cavities, where the fluid is incorporated as part of the printing process by freezing it, thus avoiding the conventional final filling step. We demonstrate this process by fabricating and characterizing dense arrays of zipping electrostatic actuators.

On the Relentless Pursuit of an Oral Insulin Delivery System: How Far is Too Far?

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Injectable insulin preparations have far outpaced oral ones by virtue of adequate bioavailability and are driven by innovations, including insulin pumps, real‐time blood glucose monitoring, and artificial intelligence. In contrast, oral insulin delivery systems, including nanomedicines, continue to struggle and lag due to varied reasons.
