Cu–Au nanoparticles produced by the aggregation of gas‐phase metal atoms for CO oxidation
The aggregation of gas‐phase Cu and Au atoms into Cu–Au nanoparticles with non‐equilibrium structures and compositions is studied using molecular dynamics. Density functional calculations reveal the significant effect of the structure of the obtained realistic models of Cu–Au nanoparticles on their CO and O binding properties as well as their CO ...

Data Poisoning Attacks on Regression Learning and Corresponding Defenses [PDF]
Adversarial data poisoning is an effective attack against machine learning and threatens model integrity by introducing poisoned data into the training dataset. So far, it has been studied mostly for classification, even though regression learning is used in many mission critical systems (such as dosage of medication, control of cyber-physical systems ...

Parity effect in superconducting aluminum single electron transistors with spatial gap profile controlled by film thickness [PDF]
We propose a novel method for suppression of quasiparticle poisoning in Al Coulomb blockade devices. The method is based on creation of a proper energy gap profile along the device. In contrast to the previously used techniques, the energy gap is controlled by the film thickness.

Implantable devices rely on batteries that demand surgical replacement, posing risks, and financial burdens. Ultrasound energy transfer (US‐ET) offers a revolutionary wireless alternative but struggles with efficiency. The presented dielectric‐ferroelectric‐boosted US‐TENG (US‐TENGDF‐B) is thin, flexible, and biocompatible that provides high‐efficiency

Abstract A possibility to carry out sorption‐enhanced gasification (SEG) is represented by its integration with the calcium looping concept in dual interconnected fluidized beds (DIFB). This article is focused on the sorbent CO2 uptake performance and attrition/fragmentation tendency when operating conditions simulating those of a DIFB‐SEG process are ...
