Multiple Roles of Alkanethiolate‐Ligands in Direct Formation of H2O2 over Pd Nanoparticles
Under the reaction conditions of direct H2O2 formation over alkylthiolate(RS) decorated Pd, we find that the RS is oxidized yielding RSO2 as the effective ligand. The RSO2 ligand shows superior ability for proton transfer to the intermediate surface species OOH, which accelerates the formation of H2O2.

Advances in Nano‐Immunomodulatory Systems for the Treatment of Acute Kidney Injury
Based on the biodegradability and the immunological reactiveness, IMNs can be broadly classified into four categories. The first category includes types of biologically derived materials that cause immunomodulatory action and biodegradability like nanoparticles of cell membranes, extracellular vesicles, and exosomes.

Plant surfaces as vehicles of Bacillus cereus responsible of human food poisoning [PDF]
• Introduction A major concern in food safety is the contamination of fresh and stored food with spoiling bacteria that provoke human poisoning. Bacillus cereus is a common food-borne pathogen responsible of important poisoning outbreaks and severe ...

The edge‐hosted Co−N4 sites in the carbon matrix are more efficient and selective than basal plane‐hosted ones in catalyzing 2 e−‐ORR, achieving a remarkable selectivity of ≈95 % in the electrochemical production of H2O2. Abstract Not only high efficiency but also high selectivity of the electrocatalysts is crucial for high‐performance, low‐cost, and ...
