Pharmaceutical Manipulation of Mitochondrial F0F1‐ATP Synthase Enables Imaging and Protection of Myocardial Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury Through Stress‐induced Selective Enrichment

open access: yesAdvanced Science
To rescue ischemic myocardium from progressing to myocardial infarction, timely identification of the infarct size and reperfusion is crucial. However, fast and accurate identification, as well as the targeted protection of injured cardiomyocytes ...

Nanophotonic Strategies for Chiral Biosensing: Nanoparticles, Metasurfaces, Magneto‐Optical, and Quantum Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Recent advances in nanophotonics‐based chiral biosensing approaches are comprehensively reviewed, highlighting key trends, advantages, and limitations of each technology. Special attention is given to emerging strategies that exploit magneto‐optical and quantum plasmonic phenomena to enhance sensitivity down to the level of a few molecules, or even a ...

Synthesis of Polysubstituted Tetrahydro‐1,4‐Thiazepines by Rhodium‐Catalyzed Ring Expansion of Dihydro‐1,3‐Thiazines with Diazoesters

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
A rhodium(II)‐catalyzed ring expansion of stereodefined dihydro‐1,3‐thiazines with diazomalonates gives 1,4‐thiazepines via a sulfonium ylide rearrangement. The reaction shows a cis/trans reactivity divergence arising from different metal coordination, as revealed by experiments and density functional theory studies.

Effects of high-dose selenium-enriched Saccharomyces cerevisiae on growth performance, antioxidant status, tissue fat content and selenium concentration, and selenoenzyme mRNA expression in chicks

open access: yesPoultry Science
: Selenium-enriched Saccharomyces cerevisiae (SSC) as organic selenium (Se) has been shown to have better advantages and is approved for use in animal feed rather than inorganic Se, however, there is little available data on the toxic effects of SSC on ...

NARFL Knockout Triggers Ferroptosis‐Driven Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NARFL is vital for CIA and oxidative stress resistance. NARFL deletion in HPMEC cells, zebrafish, and mice is lethal and rescued by a Ferroptosis inhibitor. NARFL deficiency disrupted its interaction with CIA proteins, decreased aconitase activity, increased IRP1 activity, induced Fe overload, and led to ferroptosis and oxidative stress, resulting in ...

Chronic Lead Exposure in Adult Mice: Associations with miR-671/CDR1as Regulation, NF-κB Signaling, and Alzheimer’s Disease-like Pathology

open access: yesToxics
Long-term exposure to lead (Pb) can result in chronic damage to the body through accumulation in the central nervous system (CNS) leading to neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

Realgar‐Induced CNS Toxicity: Exploring OTC‐Mediated Ornithine Regulation of ZBTB7A Inhibits Astrocyte Glycolysis Based on the Liver–Brain Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Arsenic in realgar induces CNS toxicity through direct and indirect effects: it activates ZBTB7A in astrocytes, which in turn inhibits glycolysis and impairs mice's learning, memory, and exploration; it also suppresses OTC in the liver to block the ornithine cycle, leading to blood ornithine accumulation that crosses into the frontal lobe and further ...

Deoxynivalenol-induced pyroptosis and autophagy inhibition collectively promote inflammatory injury in the glandular stomach of chicken embryos

open access: yesPoultry Science
Glandular stomach plays a crucial role in the digestive system and overall physiological functions of chickens. Mycotoxins, including deoxynivalenol (DON), in contaminated feed damage the immune and digestive systems of chickens and hinder their growth ...

Bisphenol B Exposure Induces Miscarriage by Suppressing Migration/Invasion and Migrasome Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BPB (Bisphenol B) exposure up‐regulates ER (estrogen receptor) levels, enhances its interactions with the lnc‐HZ04 promoter region, and thus promotes ER‐mediated lnc‐HZ04 transcription. Subsequently, lnc‐HZ04 suppresses TCF4 (transcription factor 4)‐mediated PKCA (protein kinase C alpha) transcription and subsequently suppresses migration/invasion and ...
