Distributions of Functionals of the two Parameter Poisson-Dirichlet Process [PDF]
The present paper provides exact expressions for the probability distribution of linear functionals of the two–parameter Poisson–Dirichlet process. Distributional results that follow from the application of an inversion formula for a (generalized) Cauchy–

A quadratic Poisson Gel'fand-Kirillov problem in prime characteristic [PDF]
The quadratic Poisson Gel’fand-Kirillov problem asks whether the field of fractions of a Poisson algebra is Poisson birationally equivalent to a Poisson affine space, i.e. to a polyno-mial algebra K[X1,..., Xn] with Poisson bracket defined by {Xi, Xj} =

Exact Discrete Stochastic Simulation With Deep‐Learning‐Scale Gradient Optimization
A 203,796‐parameter gene regulatory network classifies handwritten digits with 98.4% accuracy using exact stochastic dynamics. The framework decouples forward simulation from backward differentiation, making continuous‐time Markov chain models compatible with deep‐learning optimization.

Background Serial analysis of gene expression (SAGE) is used to obtain quantitative snapshots of the transcriptome. These profiles are count-based and are assumed to follow a Binomial or Poisson distribution.

Matrix Stiffness Induces Endothelial Network Senescence
Using a 3D human in vitro model that decouples mechanical stress from inflammatory or biochemical signals, matrix stiffening induces a senescence phenotype in endothelial networks. This mechano‐induced senescence activates Notch signaling, and pharmacologic Notch inhibition attenuates this stiffness‐induced senescence.

In the pathological context of osteoarthritis (OA), the phosphorylation of AKT1 at Ser473 enhances its binding to Lys140 of Insig1, which facilitates the formation of AKT1–Insig1 complex. Subsequently, the activation of AKT1 promotes the phosphorylation of Insig1 at Ser189, potentially enhancing the dissociation of Insig1 from sterol regulatory element‑

Poisson models are fundamental in the modelling of purchase frequencies. However, very often they are statistically incompatible with the data. This stems from the fact that the mean is assumed to be equal to the variance and, in consequence, this fails ...

A beta-Poisson model for infectious disease transmission.
Outbreaks of emerging and zoonotic infections represent a substantial threat to human health and well-being. These outbreaks tend to be characterised by highly stochastic transmission dynamics with intense variation in transmission potential between ...

Total Variation Regularization Algorithms for Images Corrupted with Different Noise Models: A Review
Total Variation (TV) regularization has evolved from an image denoising method for images corrupted with Gaussian noise into a more general technique for inverse problems such as deblurring, blind deconvolution, and inpainting, which also encompasses the
