The gravitational self-force

open access: yes, 2004
The self-force describes the effect of a particle's own gravitational field on its motion. While the motion is geodesic in the test-mass limit, it is accelerated to first order in the particle's mass.

Poisson deleting derivations algorithm and Poisson spectrum [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Algebra, 2016
In [5] Cauchon introduced the so-called deleting derivations algorithm. This algorithm was first used in noncommutative algebra to prove catenarity in generic quantum matrices, and then to show that torus-invariant primes in these algebras are generated by quantum minors. Since then this algorithm has been used in various contexts.

Conservation de la biodiversité et changement climatique : un nécessaire changement de paradigme - Le cas des poissons migrateurs amphihalins

open access: yesSciences, Eaux & Territoires, 2010
Les espèces les plus menacées font l'objet de plans de restauration visant à retrouver une situation antérieure jugée plus satisfaisante. Mais le changement climatique qui s'est opéré dans certaines régions nécessite de se poser la question de l'utilité ...

A class of CTRWs: Compound fractional Poisson processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This chapter is an attempt to present a mathematical theory of compound fractional Poisson processes. The chapter begins with the characterization of a well-known L\'evy process: The compound Poisson process.

Compound Poisson Process with a Poisson Subordinator [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Probability, 2015
A compound Poisson process whose randomized time is an independent Poisson process is called a compound Poisson process with Poisson subordinator. We provide its probability distribution, which is expressed in terms of the Bell polynomials, and investigate in detail both the special cases in which the compound Poisson process has exponential jumps and ...

A STUDY OF SMALL AREA ESTIMATION TO MEASURE MULTIDIMENSIONAL POVERTY WITH MIXED MODEL POISSON, ZIP, AND ZINB

open access: yesBarekeng, 2023
The research began with calculating the value of multidimensional poverty at the district level in West Java Province from SUSENAS 2021. The calculation of multidimensional poverty was based on individuals in each district or city household.

Electroweak multi-monopoles

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2023
We construct the multi-charge generalizations for the electroweak magnetic monopole solution of Cho and Maison within a wide range of values of the magnetic charge. We use the same ansatz for the axially symmetric fields as the one previously employed to

RECOVERY OF THIRD-STAGE LARVAE OF ANGUILLICOLA CRASSUS (NEMATODA : DRACUNCULOIDEA) FROM THE FLESH OF FISHES : ASSESSMENT OF A DIGESTIVE MEDIUM AS A TOOL FOR THE STUDY OF FISH PARATENIC HOSTS. EXTRACTION DE LARVES DE TROISIÈME STADE D'ANGUILLICOLA CRASSUS (NEMATODA : DRACUNCULOIDEA) DANS LA CHAIR DE POISSONS : MISE AU POINT D'UNE MÉTHODE PAR DIGESTION POUR L'ÉTUDE DU PORTAGE PARASITAIRE PAR LES POISSONS HÔTES PARATÉNIQUES.

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems, 2008
The purpose of this study was to recover third-stage larvae (L3) of Anguillicola crassus alive from the flesh of fishes. Different digestive media have been tested on eel flesh for their efficiency and on living infective third-stage larvae for their ...
