Performance analysis and optimization for non-uniformly deployed mmWave cellular network
In this paper, we propose a multi-tier mmWave cellular framework where sub-6 GHz macro BSs (MBSs) are assumed as a Poisson point process (PPP) and small-cell BSs (SBSs), operating on either mmWave or sub-6 GHz, follows non-uniform Poisson cluster point ...

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

Application of regulatory sequence analysis and metabolic network analysis to the interpretation of gene expression data [PDF]
We present two complementary approaches for the interpretation of clusters of co-regulated genes, such as those obtained from DNA chips and related methods.

The Poisson Cluster Process Runs as a Model for the Internet Traffic
In this paper, we investigated a Poisson cluster process as runs of packet arrivals on the Internet. This model assumes that the Poisson cluster process is characterized by runs of packets which correspond to defined clusters in the Poisson process. Using the form of the length runs we studied the probability of a general number of cluster runs in the ...

New AI‐Assisted Approach for Expanding the Solution Space: Application to Lattice Structure Design
This work introduces an innovative framework for designing structured materials by ex panding the design space through reparameterization of qualitative variables into continuous structural descriptors. Combined with machine‐learning‐based prediction and multi‐objective optimization, the approach enables the discovery of novel lattice architectures ...

During creep of a single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloy, the overall crystal orientation is observed to remain constant while the microstructure evolves. Despite the lack of macroscopic rotation, small (<1°) rotations are observed on the submicron size scale and are accommodated by counteracting rotations over the scale of several micrometers.

Applying compound Poisson process to error performance analysis in cascaded digital transmission systems [PDF]
[[abstract]]The authors propose a compound Poisson process model for representing the error characteristics in a digital transmission system. Only two parameters are needed to analyze the error performance of a digital transmission system. Three types of

In this master thesis, we introduce the Poisson cluster process using the marked Poisson process. At first, we mention general definitions and then we move on to the interpretation of this model in insurance mathematics in nonlife reserving.

Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.

A Space-Time Scan Statistic To Detect Cluster Alarms Of Dengue Mortality In Indonesia, 2005
This article presents a space-time scan statistic, useful for evaluating space-time cluster alarms, and illustrates the method to investigate a recent dengue mortality alarm in Indonesia.
