Poisson Reduction by Distributions [PDF]
The problem of reduction of a smooth Poisson manifold with a free and proper action of a Lie group was generalized in many directions, first of all by distributions, [see \textit{J. E. Marsden, T. S. Ratiu}, Lett. Math. Phys. 11, 161--169 (1986; Zbl 0602.58016)].

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

RESCUE 1122: APPLICATION OF POISSON DISTRIBUTION
: OBJECTIVE: The basic idea of the study toevaluate the probabilities of various emergencies calls that could be emerging in the enhancement of operational network and adequate polices to tackle the complex emergencies situations, so that the maximum ...

Poisson distribution is one of discrete distribution that is often used in modeling of rare events. The data obtained in form of counts with non-negative integers. One of analysis that is used in modeling count data is Poisson regression.

Nanoindentation Criteria for Combinatorial Thin Film Libraries
Thin‐film material libraries are compositional spreads used for screening composition‐structure‐property relationships. Nanoindentation is often used to characterize mechanical behavior across these systems, however variations in methodology are widespread.

Nickel‐based alloys are widely used in high‐temperature applications due to their excellent mechanical strength and oxidation resistance. However, properties such as high‐temperature strength and pronounced work‐hardening make them difficult to machine.

Discriminant analysis involving count data [PDF]
A situation giving rise to a violation of the normality assumption in discriminant analysis is that which involves count observations. For a two-variable case involving count observations, this paper presents a new discriminant analysis approach when ...

The presented study focuses on the fracture behaviour of carbon‐bonded magnesia MgO–C refractories, where environmentally friendly fructose, collagen and lignin serve as temporary binding agents. The partial substitution of the source material with recycled MgO–C reduces the fracture resistance, which can be counteracted by the additional introduction ...
