Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy in Bionanotechnology: Current Advances and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) enables the nanoscale mapping of electrostatic surface potentials. While widely applied in materials science, its use in biological systems remains emerging. This review presents recent advances in KPFM applied to biological samples and provides a critical perspective on current limitations and future directions for

Proof that stable monotonic equilibrium distributions in a continuous-focusing channel are necessarily axisymmetric

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2007
The transverse Vlasov equilibrium distribution function of an unbunched ion beam propagating in a continuous-focusing channel is specified by a function f_{⊥}(H_{⊥}), where H_{⊥} is the single-particle Hamiltonian.

A note on Poisson derivations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
summary:Free Poisson algebras are very closely connected with polynomial algebras, and the Poisson brackets are used to solve many problems in affine algebraic geometry.

Elephant‐Skin‐Inspired Porous Cementitious Tiles with Programmable Crack Networks for Passive Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.

Hydrogel‐Based Airway‐on‐Tube With Perfusable Endothelial Lumen and Outward Epithelialization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrogel‐based airway‐on‐tube platform featuring a perfusable endothelial lumen and outward epithelialization is presented. The system supports primary human bronchial epithelial and lung microvascular endothelial coculture under air‐liquid interface conditions.

Monte Carlo methods for linear and non-linear Poisson-Boltzmann equation*

open access: yesESAIM: Proceedings and Surveys, 2015
The electrostatic potential in the neighborhood of a biomolecule can be computed thanks to the non-linear divergence-form elliptic Poisson-Boltzmann PDE.

Rational Tuning of Hygroscopic Oscillation of Stacked Nanoflake Assemblies for Continuous Ambient Energy Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Stacked nanoflake assembly (SNA) membranes can oscillate autonomously, offering opportunities for soft actuation and energy harvesting. This work uncovers the physical mechanism behind the sustained oscillation of SNA membranes in gradient humidity and identifies three governing dimensionless parameters, enabling rational design for optimizing SNA ...

Feigin-Odesskii Poisson structures via derived geometry

open access: yes, 2019
The Feigin-Odesskii Poisson structures are semiclassical limits of the FeiginOdesskii elliptic algebras. These noncommutative algebras are vast generalization of Sklyanin algebras. It is an open problem that how to classify the symplectic leaves of these
