Stacks in Poisson Geometry

open access: yes, 2018
This thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter discusses the relationship between stacks on a site and groupoids internal to the site. It includes a rigorous proof of the folklore result that there is an equivalence between the bicategory of internal groupoids and the bicategory of geometric stacks.

Shifted Poisson geometry of moduli space

open access: yes, 2018
In a joint work with Sasha Polishchuk (1706.09965), we proved that the moduli space of bounded complexes of vector bundles on a Calabi-Yau d-fold, up to chain isomorphisms, admits a canonical (1-d)-shifted Poisson structure in the sense of Calaque-Pantev-

Stability of symplectic leaves

open access: yes, 2010
We find computable criteria for stability of symplectic leaves of Poisson manifolds. Using Poisson geometry as an inspiration, we also give a general criterion for stability of leaves of Lie algebroids, including singular ones.

Advanced Design for Weakly Coupled Resonators by Automatic Active Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An Automatic Active Optimization (AAO) strategy integrates machine learning predictors and genetic algorithms in a closed‐loop workflow. By iteratively expanding its dataset with new discoveries, AAO overcomes the limits of conventional methods. This approach finds superior microstructural designs beyond the initial sample space. We demonstrate this on

Doubling, T-Duality and Generalized Geometry: a simple model

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
A simple mechanical system, the three-dimensional isotropic rigid rotator, is here investigated as a 0+1 field theory, aiming at further investigating the relation between Generalized/Double Geometry on the one hand and Doubled World-Sheet Formalism ...

POISSON GEOMETRY OF PARABOLIC BUNDLES ON ELLIPTIC CURVES [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics, 2008
The moduli space of G-bundles on an elliptic curve with additional flag structure admits a Poisson structure. The bivector can be defined using double loop group, loop group and sheaf cohomology constructions. We investigate the links between these methods and for the case SL2 perform explicit computations, describing the bracket and its leaves in ...

Micropillar‐Engineered Hybrid Adhesive Patch for Surface‐Conformable and Directional Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents a surface‐conformable hybrid adhesive integrating height‐optimized hexagonal micropillars with open‐rectangular cuts. The micropillars enhance rough‐surface contact and microscale crack arrest, while the cuts guide and reverse interfacial cracks for strong and directional adhesion. The multiscale architecture achieves robust pull‐off

On the charge algebra of causal diamonds in three dimensional gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Covariant phase space methods are applied to the analysis of a causal diamond in 2+1-dimensional pure Einstein gravity. It is found that the reduced phase space is parametrized by a family of charges with a dual geometrical interpretation: they are ...

Semilinear Poisson problems in Sobolev-Besov spaces on Lipschitz domains

open access: yes, 2002
Extending recent work for the linear Poisson problem for the Laplacian in the framework of Sobolev-Besov spaces on Lipschitz domains by Jerison and Kenig [16], Fabes, Mendez and Mitrea [9], and Mitrea and Taylor [30], here we take up the task of ...

Tunable 3D‐Printed Static Mixers for Gradient Bioprinting With High Cell Viability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The fabrication of native tissue‐like structures with gradual transitions in material properties, cell types, and growth factors remains a major challenge in biofabrication due to the lack of suitable methods. Mimicking the hierarchical organization of living tissues is essential for functional models, yet creating gradient, multimaterial ...
