Material‐Induced Nuclear Deformation Controls Chromatin Architecture in Adipose Stem Cells
Tuning cell and cytoskeleton mechanics modulated nuclear shape and heterochromatin organization in ASCs. Distinct cytoskeletal architectures induced nuclear morphologies from oblate to prolate ellipsoids. Large elongated cells with a structured actin cap exhibited high nuclear strain, driving nuclear envelope deformation and heterochromatin ...

Polar Field Reversal Observations with Hinode
We have been monitoring yearly variation in the Sun's polar magnetic fields with the Solar Optical Telescope aboard {\it Hinode} to record their evolution and expected reversal near the solar maximum.

This study combines full‐field tomography with diffraction mapping to quantify radial (ε002$\varepsilon _{002}$) and axial (ε100$\varepsilon _{100}$) lattice strain in wrinkled carbon‐fiber specimens for the first time. Radial microstrain gradients (−14.5 µεMPa$\varepsilon \mathrm{MPa}$−1) are found to signal damage‐prone zones ahead of failure, which ...

Solar cycle and seasonal variations of the GPS phase scintillation at high latitudes
We present the long-term statistics of the GPS phase scintillation in the polar region (70°–82° magnetic latitude) by using the GPS scintillation data from Ny-Ålesund for the period 2010–2017.

Meridional motions of the afternoon radar aurora, auroral electrojets, and absorption patches under variable IMF conditions [PDF]
The meridional motions of the CUTLASS HF and STARE VHF coherent echoes, IMAGE equivalent electrojet currents, and IRIS absorption patches during the postnoon/early-evening event of 14 February 2000 are presented.

磁気嵐に伴う極冠電離圏でのプラズマ密度構造に関する研究 [PDF]
The polar-cap ionosphere is directly coupled with the magnetosphere, which makes the region unique compared with the low- and mid-latitude ionosphere. Because of this coupling with the magnetosphere, the polar cap ionosphere is disturbed during magnetic ...

Highly accurate special quadrature methods for Stokesian particle suspensions in confined geometries
Boundary integral methods are highly suited for problems with complicated geometries, but require special quadrature methods to accurately compute the singular and nearly singular layer potentials that appear in them.

F layer ionization patches in the polar cap
Ground‐based optical and digital ionosonde measurements were conducted at Thule, Greenland to measure ionospheric structure and dynamics in the nighttime polar cap F layer. These observations showed the existence of large‐scale (800–1000 km) plasma patches drifting in the antisunward direction during a moderately disturbed (Kp ≥ 4) period. Simultaneous
