Accurate and noninvasive prostate cancer detection using plasma‐derived extracellular vesicle RNA

Plasma extracellular vesicles were captured with WGA‐conjugated magnetic beads and profiled for RNA biomarkers. A three‐RNA panel (NM_024955, NR_047469, and NR_002564) distinguished prostate cancer from healthy controls and benign prostatic hyperplasia, supporting a simple, noninvasive approach to improve prostate cancer detection.

Growth of Polar cod (Boreogadus saida) in the Barents Sea

Observed length-at-age, and backcalculated lengths based on otolith measurements, from samples of polar cod collected in the Barents Sea in autumn of 1987 to 1989, were analysed. An increase in individual length growth of one-year-olds was observed from 1987 to 1989.

Structural studies and functional engineering of NanX: an anhydro‐sialic acid transporter from Escherichia coli

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. In silico and in vitro exploration of a tyrosinase for biocatalytic production of catechols
