Parallel detection polarization-sensitive spectrally interferometric polarization-sensitive OCT
SPIE Proceedings, 2004We will present a new version of the polarization sensitive spectrally interfrometric optical coherence tomography which uses one broadband light source and two measurements to determine the Mueller images of a biomedical sample. This system uses phase information of the OCT images.

Polarization sensitive diffuser
SPIE Proceedings, 2008With help of liquid crystal polymers (LCP) a polarization sensitive diffuser has been realized. By using convex microstructures made of LCP and an index matching layer, two distinct functions depending on the orientation of the device and the polarization state of the input light are realized.

Linear polarization sensitivity
OSA Annual Meeting, 1993Remote sensing instruments often contain optical components, such as fold mirrors, diffraction gratings, and detectors, whose efficiency depends on the incident polarization state.

Polarization sensitive laser calorimetry
Journal of Applied Physics, 1982Techniques used currently to determine bulk and surface laser absorption coefficients of highly transparent materials have drawbacks both inherent and practical that limit their accuracy. Conventional bar calorimetry attempts a two-coefficient characterization of nine separate physical absorption sites.

Human Polarization Sensitivity
2014Humans can detect the E-vector of incident polarized light using a subtle, transient visual phenomenon known as Haidinger’s brush. The effect is a result of the human macula having the properties of a radial analyser with peak absorption at 460 nm. A number of mechanisms, each capable of generating radial diattenuation, have been proposed: (1) oblique ...
