Somewhat questionable evidence in support of reptilian polarization sensitivity (PS) has come from field and laboratory observations on the behaviour of a few species of marine and freshwater turtles. On polarization estimation using a polarization sensitive array

This paper studies three polarization estimation techniques with a uniform linear array of crossed dipoles. All three may be used to compute the polarization estimates of impinging narrow-band electromagnetic plane waves. Statistical performance analysis of the estimators is provided for high signal-to-noise ratio.
