Over 100 Gb/s Ultrabroadband MIMO Wireless Signal Delivery System at the D-Band
We propose and experimentally demonstrate an ultrabroadband wireless millimeter-wave (mm-wave) signal delivery system at the D-band (110-170 GHz), employing the techniques of photonics-aided mm-wave generation, wireless multiple-input multiple-output ...

A Spread-Spectrum SQUID Multiplexer [PDF]
The Transition-Edge Sensors (TES) is a mature, high-resolution x-ray spectrometer technology that provides a much higher efficiency than dispersive spectrometers such as gratings and crystal spectrometers. As larger arrays are developed, time-division multiplexing schemes operating at MHz frequencies are being replaced by microwave SQUID multiplexers ...

A survey on fiber nonlinearity compensation for 400 Gbps and beyond optical communication systems
Optical communication systems represent the backbone of modern communication networks. Since their deployment, different fiber technologies have been used to deal with optical fiber impairments such as dispersion-shifted fibers and dispersion ...

Polarization Management on Anisotropic Thin‐Film Lithium Niobate Platform
This review focuses on x‐cut thin‐film lithium niobate (TFLN), exploring strategies to mitigate anisotropy and mode hybridization. It covers polarization beam splitters, rotators, splitter‐rotators, polarizers, and polarization‐insensitive components. Key applications include polarization‐division multiplexing, polarization‐insensitive modulation, and ...

Cluster Synchronization in Multiplex Networks [PDF]
We study the impact of interaction of nodes in a layer of a multiplex network on the dynamical behavior and cluster synchronization of these nodes in other layers. We find that nodes interactions in one layer affects the cluster synchronizability of another layer in many different ways.

Creation and characterization of vector vortex modes for classical and quantum communication
Vector vortex beams are structured states of light that are non-separable in their polarisation and spatial mode, they are eigenmodes of free-space and many fibre systems, and have the capacity to be used as a modal basis for both classical and quantum ...

Optical wireless communications (OWCs) provide a promising alternative to spectrum‐congested microwave wireless communications. Recently, the use of metasurfaces with sub‐wavelength features for dynamic beam steering, beam manipulation, and spatial or optical‐angular‐momentum mode generation, conversion, and multiplexing in OWCs is proposed and ...
