Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy for the Measurement of the Corrosion Rate of Magnesium Alloys: Brief Review and Challenges

open access: yesMetals, 2020
From a technological point of view, measurement of the corrosion rate of magnesium (Mg) and its alloys is critical for lifetime predictions of Mg-based structures and for comparative assessments of their corrosion protection ability.

Polar transform and local positivity for curves [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de la Faculté des sciences de Toulouse : Mathématiques, 2020
Using the duality of positive cones, we show that applying the polar transform from convex analysis to local positivity invariants for divisors gives interesting and new local positivity invariants for curves. These new invariants have nice properties similar to those for divisors.

On a Class of Polar Log-Aesthetic Curves [PDF]

open access: yesVolume 3B: 47th Design Automation Conference (DAC), 2021
Abstract Curves are essential concepts that enable compounded aesthetic curves, e.g., to assemble complex silhouettes, match a specific curvature profile in industrial design, and construct smooth, comfortable, and safe trajectories in vehicle-robot navigation systems.

Electrochemical Performance of Fe-Al intermetallic alloys with addition of Li, Ni and Ce in NaVO3 at 700°C

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2013
Potentiodynamic polarization curves and polarization resistance measurements were used to study the hot corrosion behavior of two intermetallic compounds, i.e., FeAl and Fe3Al with minor additions of Ni, Ce and Li exposed in a NaVO3 salt at 700°C.
