Direct measurement of giant electrocaloric effect in BaTiO3 multilayer thick film structure beyond theoretical prediction [PDF]
The electrocaloric effect of BaTiO3 multilayer thick film structure was investigated by direct measurement and theoretical calculation. The samples were prepared by the tape-casting method, which had 180 dielectric layers with an average thickness of 1.4\

Polarization and light curve variability: the "patchy shell" model
Recent advances in early detection and detailed monitoring of GRB afterglows have revealed variability in some afterglow light curves. One of the leading models for this behavior is the patchy shell model.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Turbulent Cell Interpretation of Micro-Variability of BL Lacertae: Polarization
We present the results of the analysis of nine polarization and micro-variability observations of BL Lacertae using a turbulent cell model. We perform a similar analysis of a simulated TEMZ light curve generated with the Turbulent Extreme Multi-Zone ...

Cathodic Protection of X100 Pipeline Steel in Simulated Soil Solution
Generally, the basic parameters of conventional cathodic protection design mostly rely on theoretical or empirical approximate formulas. An over protection phenomenon has emerged for pipeline systems with large scale differences in soil environment. This

Polars of Artin-Schreier curves [PDF]
For Artin-Schreier curves \(C\) of genus \(g\) given by an affine equation \(C:y^q+ay=\varphi(x)\) over a finite field \(\mathbb{F}_{q^k}\) the number of points on \(C(\mathbb{F}_{q^k})\) is bounded by the Weil bound \(q^k+1+ 2gq^{k/2}\) and by the trivial bound \(q^{k+1}+1\). The authors can improve these two bounds in certain cases. The method relies
