Turbulent Cell Interpretation of Micro-Variability of BL Lacertae: Polarization
We present the results of the analysis of nine polarization and micro-variability observations of BL Lacertae using a turbulent cell model. We perform a similar analysis of a simulated TEMZ light curve generated with the Turbulent Extreme Multi-Zone ...

The study of curves of the transient current in polytetrafluoroethylene by means Fourier analysis
Experimental transition current curves for polytetrafluoroethylene after exposure to high-energy ionizing radiation are obtained. The transient current curves in irradiated polytetrafluoroethylene are analyzed based on the discrete Fourier transform. It

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Simulation study for 3D dynamic characteristics of voltage losses in PEM fuel cell
Fuel cells, providing an advanced alternative energy source, are devices that can convert chemical energy into electrical energy. Modeling of a fuel cell provides improvements to the design of the fuel cells as well as providing cheaper, better and more ...

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

An Investigation of Direct Hydrocarbon (Propane) Fuel Cell Performance Using Mathematical Modeling
An improved mathematical model was used to extend polarization curves for direct propane fuel cells (DPFCs) to larger current densities than could be obtained with any of the previous models.
