Bell measurements as a witness of a dualism in entanglement

open access: yes, 2015
We show how a property of dualism, which can exist in the entanglement of identical particles, can be tested in the usual photonic Bell measurement apparatus with minor modifications.

Why Is the Mechanism Underlying the Chiral‐Induced Selectivity Effect Still Challenging?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect is observed in many experimental configurations and for different materials. However, there are theoretical challenges in attempting to explain those results. A qualitative framework for explaining all the results is presented.

Decoding THz‐Driven Dynamic Fingerprints of Ferroelectric Nanotwin Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ultrafast polarization dynamics in ferroelectrics are of considerable interest for high‐speed tunable dielectrics and electro‐optics. Extended domain wall networks formed in ferroelectric twin nanodomains can support collective dynamics in the terahertz regime but require techniques that track polarization and strain evolution driven by ...

A Space Efficient Circular Patch MIMO Antenna Having Six Degrees of Freedom for 5G-n79/WLAN Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this article, a single circular patch radiator element of radius 25 mm $\approx ~0.417\lambda _{\mathrm {c}}$ is excited by six $50~\Omega $ co-axial probe feeds spaced equally by ${60}^{0}$ to generate six non-orthogonal polarized decoupled ...

Intrinsic Coordination Architecture Governing Selectivity Divergence Between Extended and Single‐Site Electrocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Catalyst coordination acts as a loaded dice biasing reaction selectivity. Single‐atom site catalysts lock intermediates in exposed configurations, enabling continued hydrogenation and favoring oxygen‐retaining products. In contrast, extended metal surfaces fully coordinate and shield reactive centers, promoting deoxygenation pathways. This work reveals

Polarization entanglement enabled by orthogonally stacked van der Waals NbOCl2 crystals

open access: yesNature Communications
Polarization entanglement holds significant importance for photonic quantum technologies. Recently emerging subwavelength nonlinear quantum light sources, e.g., GaP and LiNbO3 thin films, benefiting from the relaxed phase-matching constraints and volume ...

Non-monotonic entanglement of physical EM field states in non-inertial frames

open access: yes, 2012
We develop a general technique to analyse the quantum effects of acceleration on realistic spatially-localised electromagnetic field states entangled in the polarization degree of freedom.

A Scalable Perovskite Platform With Multi‐State Photoresponsivity for In‐Sensor Saliency Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable in‐sensor computing platform (32 × 32 array) with ultra‐low variability is developed by incorporating ferroelectric copolymers into halide perovskite thin films. These devices achieve 1000 programmable photoresponsivity states and high thermal reliability.

Imaging cross-degree-of-freedom structures in biphoton spatial-polarization hyperentanglement

open access: yes
Hyperentanglement, which refers to entanglement across more than one degree of freedom (DoF), is a valuable resource in photonic quantum technology. Although hyperentangled states inherently facilitate access to high-dimensional Hilbert spaces, their distinguishing feature lies in the cross-DoF structures beyond independent entanglement in each DoF ...
