Strong gradients, cool performance: A 64‐channel array coil with concurrent field monitoring and thermal control for ex vivo diffusion‐weighted brain imaging using the 3T connectome 2.0 MRI scanner

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose High‐resolution ex vivo diffusion‐weighted imaging (dMRI) with high b$$ b $$‐values presents significant challenges, including low signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR), magnetic field perturbations, and temperature‐related measurement shifts.

Hybrid Encoder for Discrete and Continuous Variable QKD

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a hybrid QKD encoder that bridges the advantages of discrete and continuous variables. Utilizing a self‐compensating iPOGNAC design, the encoder is compatible with space‐based and terrestrial quantum networks. The approach simplifies system complexity, improves stability, and ensures cost‐effective integration, paving the way for

Non‐Markovian Dynamics in Fiber Delay‐Line Buffers

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
A qubit‐fiber birefringence‐reservoir model is proposed to explore the non‐Markovian dynamics of the fiber‐based buffered photon and its paired photon. The non‐Markovian probability function is obtained by performing full quantum state tomography. The probability function fits well with experimental data and physical values.

Analysis of Giant‐Shell CdSe/CdS Quantum Dots via Analytical Ultracentrifugation Combined with Spectrally Resolved Photoluminescence

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) is a powerful tool for studying the size–property relationships of nanomaterials in their native environment. A methodology based on AUC with in‐line multiwavelength emission detection is developed, enabling the measurement of the size‐resolved emission spectra of giant‐shell CdSe/CdS quantum dots.

COMMUNICATIVE AND AGONISTIC PLANNING THEORIES IN THE FACE OF POPULIST RHETORIC: Reflections on Minneapolis 2040 Process

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urban and Regional Research, EarlyView.
Abstract This article discusses populist rhetoric in the context of participatory urban planning. Populist rhetoric builds on emotionally charged expression and juxtapositions between ‘the people’ and ‘the elite’ including planners. In so doing, it poses a challenge to planners who have learned to follow the ideals of communicative planning ...
