Aims.Recent studies have detected linear polarization in L dwarfs in the optical I band. Theoretical models have been developed to explain this polarization. These models predict higher polarization at shorter wavelengths.

Albedo heterogeneity on the surface of (1943) Anteros [PDF]
We have investigated the effect of rotation on the polarization of scattered light for the near-Earth asteroid (1943) Anteros using the Dual Beam Imaging Polarimeter on the University of Hawaii's 2.2 m telescope.

Momentum space tomographic imaging of photoelectrons
We apply tomography, a general method for reconstructing 3-D distributions from multiple projections, to reconstruct the momentum distribution of electrons produced via strong field photoionization.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

A possible use for polarizers in imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes [PDF]
Cherenkov radiation produced in Extensive Air Showers shows a net polarization. This article discusses its properties and physical origin, and proposes an arrangement of polarizers potentially useful for Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes.Comment ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Lensless polarization camera for single-shot full-Stokes imaging
Lensless cameras have recently emerged as a compact imaging system based on computational imaging with various multiplexing capabilities. Here, we propose a compact, low-cost, lensless camera that enables snapshot full-Stokes polarization imaging.
