Proton Assisted Insensitive Nuclei Cross Polarization [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2007
This Communication presents a solid-state NMR 15N−13C polarization transfer scheme applicable at high B0 and high MAS frequencies, requiring moderate rf powers and mixing time (1−6 ms). The sequence, PAIN-CP, involves the abundant nearby protons in the heteronuclear recoupling dynamics and provides a new tool for obtaining long distance 15N−13C ...

A polarization-insensitive plasmonic photoconductive terahertz emitter [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
We present a polarization-insensitive plasmonic photoconductive terahertz emitter that uses a two-dimensional array of nanoscale cross-shaped apertures as the plasmonic contact electrodes. The geometry of the cross-shaped apertures is set to maximize optical pump absorption in close proximity to the contact electrodes.

Polarization insensitivity of AlGaAs/GaAs interdiffused quantum wells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Modeling is used to show that interdiffusion can generate a polarization independent parabolic-like quantum well. Criteria to achieve the parabolic-like quantum wells by interdiffusion are discussed. The results indicated that interdiffused quantum wells

A Numerical Solution for Broadband PLC Splitter with Variable Splitting Ratio Based on Asymmetric Three Waveguide Structures

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
A numerical solution for the broadband planar-lightwave-circuit (PLC) splitter with a variable splitting ratio based on asymmetric three waveguides weighted by the Blackman weighting function is designed for passive optical network applications with ...

Polarization Insensitivity in Interdiffused, Strained InGaAs/InP Quantum Wells

open access: yes, 1996
Theoretical results are presented showing how quantum well disordering affects the TE and TM absorption coefficient spectra of In0.53Ga0.47As/InP single quantum wells. An error function distribution is used to model the constituent atom composition after

Broadband polarization-insensitive arrayed waveguide gratings for Raman spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present two arrayed waveguide gratings fabricated in silicon-oxynitride for near-infrared Raman spectroscopy. Our devices exhibit very low losses and polarization insensitivity over a large spectral range of 156 nm and 214 nm ...

Polarization-Insensitive Transmissive Metasurfaces Using Pancharatnam–Berry and Resonant Phases in Microwave Band

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Most of the existing metasurfaces are effective for the incident wave with the specific circularly polarized (CP) or linearly polarized (LP) state, that is the polarization-sensitive metasurface.

Optical trapping and manipulating with a transmissive and polarization‐insensitive metalens

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
Abstract Trapping and manipulating micro‐objects and achieving high‐precision measurements of tiny forces and displacements are of paramount importance in both physical and biological research. While conventional optical tweezers rely on tightly focused beams generated by bulky microscope systems, the emergence of flat lenses ...
