Ray-tracing analysis for cross-polarization scattering diagnostic on MAST-upgrade spherical tokamak [PDF]
A combined Doppler backscattering/cross-polarization scattering (DBS/CPS) system is being deployed on MAST-U for simultaneous measurements of local density turbulence, turbulence flows, and magnetic turbulence. In this design, CPS shares the probing beam with the DBS and uses a separate parallel-viewing receiver system.

Deep Learning for Polarization Optical System Automated Design
Aiming at the problem that traditional design methods make it difficult to control the polarization aberration distribution of optical systems quickly and accurately, this study proposes an automatic optimization design method for polarization optical ...

Ray-tracing and polarized radiative transfer in General Relativity [PDF]
AbstractWe discuss the problem of polarized radiative transfer in general relativity. We present a set of equations suitable for solving the problem numerically for the case of an arbitrary space-time metric, and show numerical solutions to example problems. The solutions are computed with a new ray-tracing code, Arcmancer, developed by the authors.

Three-dimensional polarization ray tracing calculus for partially polarized light
Calculating the evolution of polarization for all polarization states of light in optical systems, in global coordinates, is an important, yet challenging task. This calculation exists for completely polarized light, but has not yet been developed for partially polarized light.

Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.
