Asymptotics of Feynman Diagrams and The Mellin-Barnes Representation

open access: yes, 2005
It is shown that the integral representation of Feynman diagrams in terms of the traditional Feynman parameters, when combined with properties of the Mellin--Barnes representation and the so called {\it converse mapping theorem}, provide a very simple ...

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

On-Demand Photopatterned Twisted Nematics for Generation of Polychromatic Vector Fields

open access: yesCrystals
A simple and efficient approach to spatially addressed polychromatic modulation of light polarization using a photopatterned nematic liquid crystal film is proposed and investigated.

Threshold singularities, dispersion relations and fixed-order perturbative calculations

open access: yes, 2016
We show how to correctly treat threshold singularities in fixed-order perturbative calculations of the electron anomalous magnetic moment and hadronic pair production processes such as top pair production.

Polarization singularities on high index nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this article, we study the emergence of polarization singularities in the scattered fields of optical resonators excited by linearly polarized plane waves.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Achromatic vector vortex beams from a glass cone

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Under total internal reflection light acquires a phase shift that depends on its polarisation. Here, the authors show that this effect can be harnessed to generate so-called vector vortex beams—light with polarization and phase singularities—when white ...

Generalized Dirac operators on Lorentzian manifolds and propagation of singularities

open access: yes, 2010
We survey the correct definition of a generalized Dirac operator on a Space--Time and the classical result about propagation of singularities. This says that light travels along light--like geodesics.
