Recording and Analysis of Pole Figures by Computer
Journal of Applied Physics, 1968A computer program has been written to produce pole figures using the data from an x-ray texture goniometer. The data are corrected for background and absorption. The pole figure is also stored on magnetic or paper tape in a form suitable for quantitative calculations.

Averaging Techniques and Ultrasonic Pole Figures
1988There is considerable interest in the evaluation of texture via ultrasonic measurements because of the advantages when compared to evaluation by diffraction techniques. First, ultrasonic measurements are much more rapid and have the potential of being used concurrently while processing.

A computer program for the construction of pole figures
Journal of Applied Crystallography, 1971A computer program, written in Fortran IV, is described which analyses data collected from. a Schulz texture goniometer. Graphical output is in the form of pole figures, drawn on a digital plotter. A resolving power of the order of one degree is obtainable, enabling accurate studies to be undertaken on the preferred orientation in polymers.

An Analytical Discussion of the Construction of Pole Figures
Journal of Applied Physics, 1948The construction of pole figures of crystal orientation data obtained by means of x-rays can be made quickly and accurately if the angular relationships between planes or ``poles'' are known and if all of the data from a diffraction pattern are used.

Kristall und Technik, 1980
AbstractThe explicit relationship between the orientation distribution function and the pole figures measured by means of diffraction experiments is derived and discussed. It is shown that these pole figures have a higher symmetry than the ODF, i.e. that it is impossible to reproduce unambiguously the ODF from pole figure datas only.

RHEED Transmission Mode and RHEED Pole Figure
2013In the last chapter, we presented the principles of x-ray diffraction and the construction of a pole figure, particularly the pole figure constructed from the diffraction patterns obtained by an area detector. In this chapter, we describe the similarities and differences between reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED) transmission mode and ...
