Sequencing and phylogenetic characterization of a novel Polerovirus from Nicotiana tabacum

In this study, we reported the complete genome of a novel Polerovirus, named Tobacco yellow virus (TYV), which can be transmitted by Myzus persicae. TYV had a single-stranded RNA genome of 5735 nucleotides in length and contained six putative open reading frames (ORFs).

Emergence of yellowing disease in cucurbitaceous vegetables caused by Crinivirus and Polerovirus in India

Totally 102 symptomatic samples of cucurbitaceous vegetables showing yellowing were collected from fields of Uttar Pradesh and screened by RT-PCR assay for the presence of Crinivirus and Polerovirus. Repeated identification of plant-associated polerovirus 3 (PaPV3) and of a novel polerovirus in the virome of French grain cereals

Two novel poleroviruses were repeatedly identified by metagenomics in French barley over the 2018-2023 period. One showed similar to 98.5% nucleotide (nt) identity with plant-associated polerovirus 3 (PaPV3) identified by metagenomics in Slovenia, while the second represents a novel species for which the name barley virus H (BVH) is proposed.
