Aphid transmissibility of different European beet polerovirus isolates

European Journal of Plant Pathology, 2009
Different field isolates of the ‘beet poleroviruses’ Beet mild yellowing virus (BMYV) and Beet chlorosis virus (BChV) (genus Polerovirus, family Luteoviridae) collected in France and Poland were evaluated for transmissibility from and to sugar beet plants by different aphid species.

Complete genome sequence of a novel putative polerovirus detected in grapevine

Archives of Virology, 2020
Next-generation sequencing detected a novel virus from grapevine cultivar 'Kishmish Chjornyj' from Russia. Its complete genome sequence of 5625 nucleotides includes seven open reading frames encoding seven putative proteins similar to those of members of the genus Polerovirus in the family Luteoviridae. The novel virus showed graft-transmissibility and

The Current Status of Luteovirus and Polerovirus Research in India

2017
The family Luteoviridae comprises of three genera Luteovirus, Enamovirus and Polerovirus, of which, only two genera Luteovirus and Polerovirus are known in India. Though luteovirus and polerovirus infects many crops throughout the world, only a few have been documented in India. Luteoviruses were reported in field crops like barley (barley yellow dwarf

Potato leafroll virus (PLRV;Genus Polerovirus; Family Luteoviridae)

2001
Symptoms of primary infection by PLRV consist of pallor and upward rolling of young leaves, especially at the base, with an upright habit. The edges of young leaflets of some cultivars may develop reddening. Secondary symptoms, in plants grown from infected tubers, are stunting of the shoots and upward rolling of leaflets, especially of basal leaves ...

Complete genome sequence of a new polerovirus identified in Ageratum conyzoides

Archives of Virology
A new polerovirus, designated as "ageratum virus 3" (AgV3), was detected in an Ageratum conyzoides plant in China. The complete genome sequence of AgV3 was determined using high-throughput sequencing, rapid amplification of cDNA ends, and Sanger sequencing of RT-PCR fragments.
