Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Integrating Ecology and Economics in Agent‐Based Models to Support Agricultural Policy
Agent‐based models are valuable tools for studying social‐ecological systems in agriculture. This review maps how existing agent‐based models represent the human and natural domains of agriculture, and discusses developments in economic and ecological agent‐based modeling.

ML Workflows for Screening Degradation‐Relevant Properties of Forever Chemicals
The environmental persistence of per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) necessitates efficient remediation strategies. This study presents physics‐informed machine learning workflows that accurately predict critical degradation properties, including bond dissociation energies and polarizability.

Methods Available to Monetary Policy Makers to Deal with Uncertainty [PDF]
Three sources – research on monetary policy under uncertainty, the managerial literature, and the real-life strategies of five inflation targeters – have been used to survey methods that are available to monetary policy makers to deal with uncertainty ...

Ethical Precision in Nanoscale Brain Interfacing
As brain interfaces approach the nanoscale, precision no longer only measures—it knows, predicts, and potentially reshapes the mind. This work argues that traditional ethics fails under such conditions and proposes a shift toward continuous, operation‐based governance using the recovery–discovery framework to track, constrain, and responsibly steer ...

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Targeting Inflation under Uncertainty: Policy Makers' Perspective [PDF]
Monetary policy makers need to build two pillars for their inflation targeting strategy. Firstly, a methodology for producing the central forecast should be developed, since the whole decision process is more easily organised around a model forecast ...
