UAVSAR Tomography for Vertical Profile Generation of Tropical Forest of Mondah National Park, Gabon

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2020., 2020
Abstract Polarimetric synthetic‐aperture radar (SAR) remote sensing has been widely used for structural and biophysical parameters retrieval of forest vegetation. It has been found that the combination of polarimetric properties and interferometric characteristics of SAR remote sensing provides the capacity to retrieve forest height.

Parametric and non-parametric forest biomass estimation from PolInSAR data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Biomass estimation performance from model-based polarimetric SAR interferometry (PolInSAR) using generic parametric and non-parametric regression methods is evaluated at L- and P-band frequencies over boreal forest.

PolInSAR Coherence and Entropy‐Based Hybrid Decomposition Model

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2020., 2020
Abstract Target characterization is an essential aspect of polarimetric decomposition. This technique is capable of categorizing polarimetric signatures for different types of targets based on the scattering mechanisms they follow, enabling straightforward physical interpretation of the targets.

Polinsar and Tomographic Results Over the Gabonese Forest [PDF]

open access: yesIGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2018
The ESA-sponsored AfriSAR campaign took place in Gabon between 2015 and 2016. It was designed to collect data from tropical forests in order to support the future ESA-BIOMASS mission. This paper addresses the potential of P-band PoIIn-SAR and tomography for retrieving vegetation parameters from the multi-baseline airborne data acquired by ONERA over ...

Edge Prior Multilayer Segmentation Network Based on Bayesian Framework

open access: yesJournal of Sensors, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
In recent years, methods based on neural network have achieved excellent performance for image segmentation. However, segmentation around the edge area is still unsatisfactory when dealing with complex boundaries. This paper proposes an edge prior semantic segmentation architecture based on Bayesian framework.

Improved Three-stage Algorithm of Forest Height Retrieval with PolInSAR

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2014
Employing Polarimetric Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolInSAR) data to inverse forest parameters is a hot topic in the research field of PolInSAR. The typical forest parameter inversion algorithm is the three-stage inversion algorithm based on
