Word-formation and meaning of colour terms in Croatian, Czech and Polish [PDF]
How closely related languages construe meaning in the semantic domain of colour? Slavic languages have a relatively rich inventory of derivational affixes that allow to derive adjectives (as well as nouns) from nominals. Besides, they also use compounding as a word- formation process to construe complex adjectives, including adjectives for colours.
