Pollen structure and development in Drosera
Journal of the Linnean Society of London, Botany, 1964SUMMARY The study of pollen development principally in Drosera spathulata and D. capensis has shown that each grain possesses a series of radiating channels passing from its centre to its outer lateral surfaces. Growth or expansion of its cytoplasmic contents causes arms of cytoplasm to protrude through the apertures of these channels.
