Towards an integrated molecular understanding of plant hormones
This review offers a comprehensive overview of the nine plant hormones, delving into their biosynthesis, transport, signaling and crosstalk mechanisms. Because the complexity of plant hormonal control goes beyond these core elements, additional specific features are discussed. Lastly, this review highlights how fundamental insights drive hormonal‐based

The effect of plant hormones on pollen germination and pollen tube growth of almond cultivars
The effects of two plant hormones (auxin -IAA and gibberellin - GA(3)) on pollen germination and pollen tube growth in vitro were investigated in five almond cultivars: 'Tuono', 'Nessebar', 'Ferragnes', 'Ikar' and 'Exinogard' during 2014 and 2015 ...

SIB1‐SEC23A undergo ER to chloroplast relocalization to mediate immunity in Arabidopsis thaliana
SEC23A mediates membrane trafficking between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and Golgi apparatus and interacts with the immunity protein SIGMA FACTOR‐BINDING PROTEIN1 in Arabidopsis. Under stress, both proteins relocate from the ER to chloroplasts, suppressing photosynthesis genes and enhancing defense genes.

The tomato mars1/rough mutant displays enhanced root regeneration and rough fruits due to ectopic cell proliferation. The causal gene encodes a lysine‐specific histone demethylase that normally maintains gene silencing. Its loss alters histone methylation, upregulating several genes, including those B‐type cyclins involved in tissue‐specific cellular ...

Pectin Methylesterase48 Is Involved in Arabidopsis Pollen Grain Germination
Germination of pollen grains is a crucial step in plant reproduction. However, the molecular mechanisms involved remain unclear. We investigated the role of PECTIN METHYLESTERASE48 (PME48), an enzyme implicated in the remodeling of pectins in Arabidopsis

The key cytochrome P450 gene GmSUR2a enables soybeans to withstand destructive submergence stress. By lowering the level of the plant hormone indole‐3‐acetic acid, this gene improves soybean survival and increases field yield. It offers an important tool for breeding stress‑resilient soybeans, securing food production against extreme weather conditions.

Germination and storage of pollen
Germination of pear pollen markedly improved when boric acid was added to the medium. The pollen was more sensitive to boron in water than in 10 % sugar solution. Supplying weak solutions of boron to pear branches before flowering resulted in a good germination of the pollen in sugar solution without boron.
